Quicktime with Facespan problems

  • Subject: Quicktime with Facespan problems

I am getting extremely jerky playback with Quicktime and Facespan 3.0.

I am using Facespan 3.0 with Quicktime 4.1.2. The 29.97 320x240 movie is compressed with Sorenson for 180kb/s with a mono aiff sound track. This QT movie is placed on top of a Facespann PICT background. By itself, the movie plays back without a
hitch. I also dedicated 20 megs to the self-contained facespann application that I created.

Is this too much for Facespan to handle? Is there a way around this? Would Real Basic be a better choice for this kind of thing?

Humble thanks
Graham
