Move message to beginning of a Eudora mailbox

We can move a message to the end of a Eudora mailbox, but can't quite get the knack of moving a message to the beginning of one.
tell application "Eudora"
set currentMailbox to name of window 1
move first message of mailbox currentMailbox to (beginning of mailbox "AS Box")
end tell
Will not work (and we've tried front, start, and beginning). Anyone know how to do this?
