How did you determine this? This script says it will be a Tuesday.
You are, of course, correct. I wrote the date a little before midnight. Then I
wanted to calculate the day of the week, I fiddled around, and by the time I did
the calculation, it was Wednesday the 24th.
This assumes we won't have calendar reform in the intervening time. I read once
an interesting proposal that would produce a fixed day of the week for every
date. Its simply a matter of making one day a year not part of the week, and
making leap year day not part of the week. Then, you have 364 (=7*52) weekdays,
broken up into four equal quarters of 13 weeks each. The months in each quarter
would have 5, 4, and 4 weeks. Make New Years Day the non-week holiday, and the
dates go,
Friday, Dec 30
Saturday Dec 31
New Years Day, Jan 1
Sunday, Jan 2
Leap year day would also be a non-week holiday, and should be placed between
June and July. Then the week would go
Friday, June 29
Saturday, June 30
Leap Year Day, June 31,
Sunday, July 1
Another option would be to speed the Earth's orbit so that it only took 364 days
to get around the sun, eliminating the need for the odd days. This will probably
happen, as a result of the accumulated angular momentum in all those yotta^N
byte disks, spinning at 6.023 x 10^23 RPM.
Standard Additions would have to be modified to allow the call,
day of (current date) as taught before calendar reform
It should also give,
(current date) as French Revolutionary calendar date
--> result: 07 Venttse 209
