We have a large database that I inherited, administer and now am revamping.
It contains one file that serves as an image reference for the larger
database. Initial images are grabbed in a semi-automated process using an
iBot firewire cam and AppleScript. The script grabs an image, either
Quicktime PICT or JPEG. After the original artwork has been scanned and
color corrected using PhotoShop 5, another AppleScript runs a batch and
grabs the imbedded thumbnails from the Photoshop files and updates the
original images in the database and provides a path to the processed
PhotoShop files.

The problem is that at some point in the past the update process left
Quicktime PICTS in Filemaker that are only viewable on Macs. Early images
were visible. So far I've checked to be certain that "compatible graphics"
is checked in the database, both Mac and PC check boxes are checked in
PhotoShop.

I don't think it's really a Filemaker problem, but I thought there might be
a chance that someone might have some experience or places to look. I'm
going to try to replicate the process of extracting the information from the
stored PhotoShop image and paste it into a container in Filemaker before
calling Adobe.

TIA
