Running Apple System Profiler on Remote machine

Howdy :-)

I'm asking for someone else, so I'll just paste the question as he asked it...

Is there any way to profile a remote Mac using the Apple System
Profiler? I'm interested in gathering some hardware information about a
Mac (which I own) via TVP/IP File Sharing. I tried a few things,
including logging in as the owner with File Sharing and Program Linking
enabled, but running that machine's copy of ASP does what it probably
should do, namely profile the machine which launched it, not the machine
on which it resides.

I'm assuming that there's a typo involved, and that "TVP/IP File Sharing" should be "TCP/IP File Sharing".

I suggested that maybe the problem could be overcome with a script, but I have no remote machine to play with, so I'm asking here. Has anyone here tried this?

Thanks for any help you might offer and here's wishing a happy, prosperous and safe new year to all.

Later,
