Forgive me if this has been addressed in a previous message, but I think it
might be unfair to describe iTunes as a "rip-off" of SoundJam. Its my
understanding that Apple purchased the code for SoundJam and hired the
senior programmer/cofounder of Cadidy & Greene. I am glad to see Apple
getting over the "not invented here" syndrome, and doing it in a honest and
responsible way rather than creating their own version and overshadowing the
small developer.
I'm also encouraged that the software is so fast, solid, and intuitive for a
rapidly developed project. If iMovie is any indication, iTunes will be
quickly updated to address its most serious deficiencies. It may never
satisfy power users such as yourself, but it will meet the needs of most
users, myself included. And who knows, maybe Apple will develop iTunes Pro
to compliment Final-Cut Pro and iDVD Pro!
Just my 2 cents.
