Dear scripters
I am developing a samll FMPro document management database. I want to
use the document file information window icon as a graphical
decription of the object and attempted to copy that icon into a
container field in FMpro.
I can find the file "icon family" using the Finder dictionary; but I
cannot select one of the typically 8 icons defined in this generic
format:
<<data ics8000FF....>>
Of course I can manually do it - open the document info window,
select the icon box in TL of window, copy and then paste into
Filmaker. Looks great as below - how easy that was...:-{
I've tried using the clipboard functions but cannot select the icon
in the info window, nor select one of the icon data records in the
icon family to paste. A manual copy of the data ie <<...>> or subsets
of same didn't work manually.
I am aware that this is "copying resources" but don't know enough of
the RES functionality to solve the problem
your collective wisdom greatly appreciated
John
