The script editor doesn't do any recognizing; it's AppleScript which does.

You could mess about with renaming the Scripting Addition files so that the
two Scripting Additions are in the "right order." (Once again, I forget
whether the first seen or the last seen at startup or those other times
when AppleScript looks through the Scripting Additions is the winner. It
is deterministic.)

I'd prefer just to get rid of the one which is supplying the "wrong" stuff,
but that may not be possible.
