Beware of a terminology conflict with Akua Sweets.

There's also a problem with Script Debugger that Mark's working to isolate.

The script above compiles for me in the Script Editor, but it doesn't work. I have to use the form:

set Disk Volume alias to alias "Mac HD:"

Furthermore the Startup Disk CP doesn't visually update itself until it is quit and restarted. (OMM)

You have Akua loaded?

I have numerous 3rd pty extensions, and have found 9.1 to be quite solid but not uncrashable.
