Thanks Ehsan. 'opened files' osax seems the perfect solution. (And I don't
even need the
count-em-because-you-can't-get-em-any-other-way-then-do-a-back-to-front
repeat loop required to close the documents. You can just open the list.

The only I can find to put a particular document frontmost is by using the
menu menu item of menu mouthful, but it works.
