Hi list,
I'm looking for the ideal scriptable Installer :) Does any of you have good
or bad experiences you would like to share?
I've had a look at Installer VISE (version 7.0.3). Its scriptability seems to
be quite limited. Not to mention that its dictionary looks minimalistic...
(So it might be that it is quite scriptable - but that that's just not clear
from its dictionary...?) Alladdin's Stuffit InstallerMaker _seems_ to offer
more scripting posibilities, and its dictionary looks much more useful and
readable. But I was hoping that, before I start spending real time on this,
perhaps I could get some good advice from you... :)
Don't limit yourself to these installers. I'm open to other options.
[In case it matters: the project involves automating the whole process of
making builds in CodeWarrior, building an installer from the result, and then
making the installer available to users.]
