i found that i needed to change the syntax of certain command, adding a lot
of "the" and working much more with aliases. take a look at the few exemple
script that ship with OSX.

I'll have a look, but I'm getting experiences like this: I open a script that I've already been using under X. I add a line (telling the Finder to close a certain window) and try to save; I get a message telling me the script won't compile and I can only save it as a text file. So I cancel and, since I don't really have time to mess with it right now, I delete the line I added and try to close it. The dialog asks me if I want to save changes; I click "OK", and the same "script won't compile" dialog pops up--for the exact same code that was already compiled to begin with!

Thanks,
Michael
