OK, here's a semi-humorous "gotcha!"

For the last day I have noticed that (and wondered why) the old copy of
WebSTAR 4.2 was starting spontaneously on my web server, which I had upgraded
to Web* 4.4 about 2 months ago. The first time I noticed, I just quit 4.2.
The second time I figured a roque CGI was triggering it but it was late so I
went to bed. Today, I noticed that my "sendpartial.acgi" script was running.
This script can be triggered only from the page at

http://www.linkedresources.com/teach/applescript/sendpartial.html

which can be accessed from the first of the above 2 links. Obviously someone
read my post and went to my teaching pages and triggered the script.

Thank goodness I doubled my RAM a few weeks ago, or my server would have
choked trying to run 2 copies of Web*. The really curious thing is that even
though both copies should have been fighting over port 80 (and probably
others), the server appears to have kept on serving, and in fact the number
of hits for the past few days appears to have doubled.

I am curious if the sendpartial.acgi script was actually working for people.
I would appreciate notes from whoever used it, and whether it behaved as
expected. If it didn't work right, try again. I have fixed it now.

cc please, on digest.
