GetURL Apple Events?

  • Subject: GetURL Apple Events?

I want to do something really simple. Inside a Java program I want to tell another application to do an applescript. Basically I want to say the equivalent of

tell application "Netscape Communicator" to GetURL ("https://myname:mypwd@myserver.x.x/mydoc.html?p=x";) to file "my:file:name"

I've downloaded the apple event send and receive sample, but I don't know the event codes for getURL for netscape (I also need to use explorer) and I'm a bit stumped.

Does anyone have an applescript sample, or know the event codes for running a script? I vaguely recall that one of them was "dosc", but what's the other one?

I'd do it in Applescript if URL Access Scripting worked for password-protected https (Apple have admitted this is a bug and have filed a bug report).

Any ideas welcome...
