For all who have domains, particularly if registered with Network Solutions...
NOW would be a good time to make sure that the "Admin contact" for your
domain is you (if a business, a role account at the business). The Admin
contact has to approve changes to the domain registration to make it happen
fast. (Without that, there is a messy procedure which eventually works.
Usually. Although sometimes registering a new domain is necessary to get
going again in a reasonable time.) Your hosting company may want to be the
Admin contact so they can hold you hostage for amounts owed (or claimed to
be owed). Pick another hosting company.
Unfortunately, applescript.net's admin contact has an address which appears
to be email@hiddenion. The reappearance of the board
could well be delayed by that. (Or, the contact could indeed approve
needed changes, problems notwithstanding. At least, it's not a personal
account.)
