Quick time and apple script

Is there a tutorial somewhere on the Apple website that gives an overview on
applying apple script to quick time encodes. There is a script included in
the apple script download for quick time 5 that has to do with time code
that I could really use, but I can't figure out how to. Thanks for the
help.
