The developer intended to do this, and forgot to. There's a good chance that
it will make it into a later release. It does work for 'message' and
'event'.
There are very, very few applications which have implemented the
'properties' property. Cal Simone once told us how it got 'invented', but
unfortunately, not many applications have taken advantage of it. It's
particularly handy when you need to get lots of properties of lots of
elements, because it really cuts down on the number of AppleEvents that have
to be sent. It's great when it's there.
