Matematica(5), Matrices(1) and Complex(1) are (AS vanilla) modules that allow one many, heretofore, unavailable numerical computation with AppleScript.

Matematica (no h, mind you) comprises of 5 modules that handles most of the usual trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic (in all bases greater than one) functions and their inverses. It has modules that deals with changing base of numbers, combinatorics and statistics.

Matrix Module allows one to get solutions of linear systems , determinants of matrix and more.

Complex Module allows one to handle complex algebra like i^i, log(-5) etc.

If you are interested, you can also download the Financial Calculator, which does a bit more than the mortgages calculator on the web.

All those are available in these two pages
