Today, a script that has been stable over several releases of Mac OS
(8.5 to 9.1), came unstuck on what seems to be an ordinary pdf file.
Using Jon's Commands, the script walks a folder and extracts info
about each file, which it passes to FileMaker.
I trapped the error and located the offending file with a "try"
inside the "on open" handler of Jon's "Walk Folders" command. Error
-8850, anyone?
I tried to get some more info about the error by using "Capture AE,"
but it hits this strange file and returns seeming garbage (below).
Maybe I'll just have the script skip over any files that yield this
error, but I would rather find out what's going wrong. Does this
stuff mean anything? useful, I mean.
