Yes, you can do this properly with LiveStage - this is not a good application for AppleScript (though you could use AppleScript to automate the creation of the LiveStage project files).

There was also a simple timecode demo in the form of a Quicktime movie that Apple had on their QT site a while back, though without a product like LiveStage I can't imagine how you would get it to integrate with a move in another window - the example was designed (I believe) to be pasted ("add scaled") into a new track in an existing movie to give you a running timecode stamp within the movie window.
Hope this helps,

I need to create a script to add to quick time clips that opens a separate
window and shows the time code information that runs and stops with the
movie. The window also must close when the player is closed. An even
better trick would be to embed the movie in the page with a dedicated area
on the page where the time code would display. Does anyone have any ideas?
