Hi All!
If anyone has any experience with Cumulus, I would appreciate some
desperately needed input (deadline9s tomorrow).
Brief background: Client is in OPI environment with a High_Res image volume
and a mirrored Low_Res FPO volume. When new images are added or existing
images are updated (this is the issue) they are saved into a Hot Folder
(applescript attached via folder actions). Then for each item, this script
then finds or adds the image name to a FileMaker Database, grabs the folder
name based on the Product, creates a new Folder in the High_Res Volume if
folder does not exist and moves the image to this folder. It then waits for
the Low Res version to be created by OPI server and then Adds or Updates the
images in a Cumulus Catalog.
Everything works great with one major exception: Updating an Image. I can
find the image with no problem and update with force. The thumbnail clearly
shows it9s been updated, but the path now says it9s in the network trashcan.
When you empty the trash it then says it can9t find the image although the
updated one is in the original path. Cumulus does too good of a job keeping
track of images!
I believe the main problem is due to the fact that the creation date has
changed. If anyone has any experience here, I9ll take all the help I can
get.
By the way, I cannot delete the found record and then add it again using the
updated image. All the assigned categories would be lost.
Thanks,
Matthew
