Don't worry, List Mom is watching. (and isn't this entire meta-discussion a
great example of why that rule exists? Grin)

The whole idea of these rules, as long as we're discussing them, are
twofold:

1) consistency of administration. If everyone tries to tell everyone else to
do things the way they want it, you have --USENET. By funnelling this
through the admins, the admins have at least a chance of administering
things consistently and avoiding the "he who yells loudest wins" syndrome.

2) we really want this list to be about using AppleScript. We don't want it
to degenerate into a list about discussing what's appropriate to do on the
AppleScript-users list. Fortunately (I guess) this list seems to be more
than willing to just keep on talking over the meta discussions....
