Retrospect Client

I'm certain that this has been dealt with before on this list, but I'm
drawing a blank...

Does anyone know how to tell Retrospect to quit an app on a remote volume
when it begins backup of a remote client?

Our story so far...

Our Retrospect Backup is on separate computer from our FileMaker Pro Server
station. The FMPS computer is backed up remotely.

We want to have FMPS quit every time the remote backup starts and then launch
again when the backup is complete.

Dantz distributes a script which will quit FMPS upon the launch of the
Retrospect application, but will only do so if FMPS resides on the same Mac
as the Retrospect app.

I can write an applet that sits in the background and does checks for
Retrospect client activity & then quits FMPS when the client activates. I
really hate to take up cpu cycles with that kind of thing on a server, tho.

So does anyone know how to tell Retrospect to quit an app on a remote volume
when it begins backup of a remote client?

Any help would be appreciated.
