Anybody know about "display selector" command in OS 8.6? (tested on iMac and
G3, both 8.6)

tell application "Finder"
activate
display selector with prompt "THIS IS A PIG" for file
end tell

"display selector for file" and "display selector for folder" do the same
thing and "for volume" recognizes "volume" like a variable.
If I don't specify a "whit prompt", the script ignores "display selector"
and do nothing.
What is wrong? Could it be a conflict between script additions?

A N D . . . I remember reading that I could display a dialog "with
grayscale". What app, OS or SA do?

A N D T O O . . . In OS 8.x thru 8.5.x "choose folder" command (from
Standard additions) SHOWS INVISIBLES, but not in 8.6 nor 9.0.4
