thanx 4 reply
yes "Jedit(68K)" is very precisely its name
further trials
came into three possiblility of what's going on

1) didin't wait enough 4 the app getting compiled @ the slow 68k
2) recording the action via "OSA menu" (even stooped) will result into
never-ending apple-menu-icon blinkings
3) when the script editor is launched
running the complied app seems to fail

but
not sure which is the real one
that is causing the trouble
(will report later...maybe)

but made my mind to use the
short-cut function of the OSA
script not compiled works fine
so
not so much to caompain about at this moment

instead

now am looking 4 an alternative FreePPP kind of things
that will let me shut the (analog modem)internet connection
calling my FreePPP2.6.1's setup via AS
will let me connect by "return"
but no way to close the connection

anything good 4 68k machines?

thanx again
