I dont't know nothing about your applet nor your machines, but probably:
-your script needs OSAXen that aren't installed in your *second* computer.
OR
-Applescript version of your *second* computer is not compatible with your
script.
I found, a sort time ago, an OS 8.0 whit Applescript from OS 8.5
OR
-Your "dialect" OR "AppleScriptLib" is corrupted or isn't correspondent to
your Applescript version.
For example, if you've got OS 8.6, you need english dialect 1.3.6
version (in my machine, at least).
The problems I had had with error -1757 were always about
incompatibility beetwen versions of these three components (Applescript or
ApplescriptLib extensions & English dialect), OSAXen required for another
machine different than the "original computer" or incompatibility beetwen
OSAXen (the computer could have installed standard additions, Akua, etc.,
from different versions lower or higher. I saw too a machine which had
installed "Standard additions", "String Commands" incorporated into
standard additions and "Comandos de texto" spanish version).
