directory listing

I'm a new applescripter so forgive me if there is a fairly simple
solution to this problem--

My company has an archive of approximately 500 CDs. I need to catalog
the contents. Is there an applescript command (scripting addition) that
will give all the full paths to files and folders in a volume with
relevant info (creation date, modified, etc.). Or is there an
applescriptable application for this? Shareware?

I know there is the file info record command in the scripting addtions,
but I need to catalog whole disks. I've thought about writing an
applescript to catalog volumes, but can see how much work it would take
and potentially how slow it would be compared to an application or
scripting addition.

Thanks for your help,

Jason Miranda
