I don't believe you can 'press the button' but I'm sure there are other
ways to get around you situation.

it would help to know more of what you're doing immediately before and
after this step. I'm assuming you're doing a find based on the entered
criteria or similar. Why not just get them to enter the criteria into the
FMP layout and hit return? (but I digress)

I'm fairly certain I can solve your problem but can't do it till I know a
little more.
