Try opening it with a script editor and you'll know.

Basically, the difference between editable/run-only is contained in resource
"scpt" (much more longer in editable scripts), used by Finder to understand
applescript code.

That's all well and good if I have a version of each to compare, but this usually isn't the case. I just want to create a droplet that indicates which type of script it is, without the need to open it with an editor.
