Memory allocation of applets?

  • Subject: Memory allocation of applets?

What controls the size of memory allocation that gets set when I save a script as an application in Smile?

Currently, my apps always get 2 MB as "Preferred size", and 200 kB as "Suggested". I think I have tweaked this some time in history, but can't remember where.

Furthermore, how can I find out what a suitable setting is?
Various file reading operations does not seem to be able to handle more than at the most 500 kB, no matter what the memory allocation is. So, what things should be considered when choosing a memory allocation?

Best Regards,
