Non - AS related:

A few weeks back, on a *testing/beta* mac at work - I booted into Mac OS X,
launched Terminal, su-ed to root, and ran 'rm -rf /'. Now that is a command!
Running this completely removed all files and folders on both partitions
(except for a few locked files) within a few seconds. It left Mac OS X
standing on anything that was loaded in memory at the time, and was pretty
much so useless after that. It's one of those commands you wonder - Why is
this command even available to *any* user?

Suffice it to say, I now feel a bit more nervous when I am deleting
directories through the command line, and have developed a *bit* more
respect and caution for root, and appreciation of a good backup.
