Good news, sort of. Testing from the OS X Script menu itself in saved
scripts, there was no problem with the identical script which had stuck in
Script Debugger, and other scripts calling the Classic version of Entourage
after accessing the OS X version in the same SD session. Also quitting and
re-opening SD got everything working for a while.

I'll move this over to the SD list now, and will keep testing.
