OSX scripting CGI's

  • Subject: OSX scripting CGI's

I recently installed OS X .11 on a new QuickSilver, it really ttok me by surprise, my last encounter was with the first BETA - slow slow slow.
I was then thinking of integrating PHP and AppleScript via CGI's, but I have a few questions, I hope that some of you could help out with answer, pointers and comments.

Apache, PHP and mySQL keeps on running even when not logged in (ofcourse it does), but what about my AppleScript CGI's, do I have to be logged in to have them running. ?

If not, how about the applications that my AS-CGI would interact with, do they run without being logged in. ?

If it DOES have to be logged in, how does that affect stability ? Can I have it start up, log in and then show the screensaver w/login at once ?

Which DTP applications is being carbonized/OSX'ized (is it the same?) Quark ? InDesign ?

Best regards
Mark Bjaergager
