BOSTON APPLESCRIPT USER GROUP "BAUG" MEETING
Join the Boston AppleScript User Group for their regular monthly
meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 27. This is a beginner level
meeting.
You must register for this event. You can do so at:
http://asp-web.info.apple.com/em/search/detail_full.lasso?-token.id=EV014949
In addition to your name appearing on the registration list you will
be required to present a photo ID to gain admission to the building.
This month we will discuss scripting FileMaker Pro 5.5 and we will include
a more thorough demonstration of Script Debugger 3.0. We will begin with a
quick look into AppleScript object model of FileMaker Pro 5. In particular,
the differences in using the syntax of "tell database" and "tell document"
will be discussed. From there we will go into our scripting "Project of the
Month" which will be a full featured AppleScript that files email from
Microsoft Entourage into a FileMaker Pro database.
This is the third of three beginner focused meetings. If you've been
interested in AppleScript then this is the meeting to attend.
This is also the last meeting of the fall. We will not meet again until the
fourth Tuesday of January, the 22nd, which, I am happy to announce, will be
"The Return of Mr. Cheeseman". As in the past, Bill Cheeseman will present
all the latest AppleScript information for the Finder and OS X. More details
to come or visting The BAUG website at
http://homepage.mac.com/baug/ to get
the latest info.
