I ran into this a while back. There is at least one product out there that
can be configured to run scripts at sleep and wake (sorry, can't find the
link). Obviously, I didn't use it. I use the IdleTime extension originally
written by Frontier, but included with several other installs as well, as
I needed simply to do something after specific periods of inactivity on
the machine, not necessarily long enough to trigger sleep.
