I'm just saying that it's better than just hiding the desktop. You can only
circumvent it if you boot off of a separate copy of system software. So if
you only have one copy installed, and don't allow external storage devices
to be attached, it's about as secure as you need if the goal is just to
prevent casual mucking about. If you need something more secure than that,
hiding the desktop isn't even a meaningful strategy.
