I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the name of the computer with the new system attributes function. I gathered that I had to find the gestalt code to use with this function but it isn't giving me anything close to the response that I was expecting.
gestaltUserVisibleMachineName = "mnam"
tell current application
system attribute "mnam"
--> 64175952
end tell
Please help ... I've wasted hours with this wonderful new feature in OS X scripting. ;-)
