Actually, this is kind of funny.

My TiBook was shipped with a single partition containing OS 9 and OS X.

After downloading and installing all the Applescript guide books, compiled
Applescript files have become associated with OSX's Japanese Script Editor.

These files show up in the Finder as kind "IXINIdIvIgi..." When double
clicked, the Japanese Script Editor launches. All it's menus and other text
items have the same look as the Finder's "kind" field.

Everything still appears to work. The Japanese-ised files can be opened
with (or dragged to) the OS9 Script Editor without any problems.

I cannot think of a way to correct this. Rebuilding the desktop
hasn't helped. If I could find, then remove, the OSX app that is the
Japanese editor, I could try another desktop rebuild. Learning Japanese
might take years.

Any ideas? Has this ever happened to anyone else or am I just special?
