how about these from Akua's System Suite...

power down : Shutdown or restart the mac, NOW!
power down
[restart boolean] -- Restart?
[ROM jump boolean] -- Jump to the appropriate ROM jump, overriding
all driver closing and other clean-up routines. i.e. Act like the reset
button.

abort immediately : Abort the current script (or application) and exit to
the Finder without saving any changes.

[pesticide boolean] -- Kill the process hogging the foreground with
a dialog box.
