Remote events on 10.1 broken?

  • Subject: Remote events on 10.1 broken?

Remote Apple events do not seem to be working in Mac OS X 10.1. I have
program linking ("Allow Remote Apple events") turned on in the Sharing panel
of System Preferences on the receiving (remote) machine, and I use the
TCP/IP form of machine address ("eppc://<IP address>"). But I always receive
error number -916 (the port was closed). Others on the Apple Support
discussion groups are reporting the same error.

Is anybody having success with this? Can anybody (officially) confirm the
problem?
