Hi folks. I'm wondering if anyone has any info re: scripting the "network
setup scripting" app and OS X and a classic session within that OS X
session.
Do you need to be logged in as a certain user and therefore have admin privs
to make any changes to the network database?
My AppleScripts will be used within a classic session and therefore, I want
to check for presence of a modem, DSL or PPPoE configuration. If a modem is
present in the machine, create a new custom config and set it to dial. When
creating a config, the applescript either errors out or creates the config.
However, when the config is created, it does not persist when I query the
list of configs. Does the config need to be committed?? Also, should the
config appear within the config set list for the appropriate control panel?
I'd appeaciate any feedback here.
