just FYI, QuicKeys X is in beta, and includes the ability to
run AppleScripts from a hot key. QuicKeys is also an
alternative to OneClick on Mac OS non-X, where i've used it
for years to run scripts.

rewritten the thing from scratch using Cocoa.
