BTW, take a look under the bottom lip of yhe soda cup next time you're
there (best done with an empty cup unless you can lift it above eye
level), and on some of their other containers (I forget which ones; the
bag the burger comes in is one, I think).

A scintilla of interest?

There's a terrestial gap between North America the rest of the world that will prohibit many of us from looking under that soda cup lip, regardless of outlets in the Bay area, Phoenix or Dallas. Unless the litter arrives on our shores as flotsam. Though I must admit, these occasional glimpses into the lives of the North Americans reminds me how easily those physical distances are dwarfed in comparison to the cultural divide. You'll have to (a) spoil the suprise for your North American friends by telling us what is under the lip of the soda cup or (b) b is for banality (quit it!).
