When you go through the chooser and select "Appleshare" and then see a list
of connected machines (could be Macs or PCs), double-click on the remote
machine you want in the list pane. A new window will come up with the
keychain part you are referring to. However, to the right of the remote
machine you'll see a small checkbox. If checked, this will reference your
machine to the remote at startup and mount it on your desktop.
I use this function everyday to mount 5 NT servers and one Mac server on
my desktop everyday.
