Debugging folder action scripts

I would never have gotten anywhere with open handlers without the trick
of debugging them in Script Editor by adding a phony run handler that
calls the open handler. Now I'm running into the same situation with
folder action scripts. When I get an error in a folder action script
there's no way of telling where it is because I can't run it in Script Editor.

Is there any way to fake out a folder action handler from within Script
Editor the way you can fake out an open handler? Any other suggestions
for debugging folder action scripts? Thanks!
