I suspect that it will bite into RealBASIC's market *initially*. But it
will expand the "market" (people who what to do applications with GUI in
something easy), and RB's greater capabilities (and range of Macs) will
earn back the difference and then some. It will probably reduce the number
of people who plunge into Objective C to use "raw" project builder,
etc...sharing those people between AppleScript Studio and RB.

Time will tell.
