I wouldn't be so sure. RealBasic seems to be a hugely robust
programming environment. One of our attractions to RealBasic is its
ability to deploy cross-platform apps. I don't think you can do this
with Cocoa; though I could be wrong. I didn't realize it was that
simple to make an AppleScript App with an IDE so quickly until the
fellow from Real Software spoke up about it. That's when I checked out
their site. Its ability to integrate VB projects would be a huge plus
for us. I would think this would mean we could integrate ASP projects
as well.?? That said it looks like; for a quick Aqua interface for our
scripts, we could use ASS. It'll be the quick interface hack tool for
us, most likely. However until our six production machines (Media 100
editing and authoring) goes to OSX, we'll use what works now. Now, if
we can find something that will take AppleScript and port it to
Vbscript, we'll REALLY be in business.
