beautiful idea. I really like it. But I'd like to mention that keyboard layouts really differ very much from country to country - so I think names of the characters would be even better than descriptions of the keys used to produce that character.

But that's merely cosmetic, as one can use the "Keyboard settings" control panel (don't know for sure if it's that: it's "Tastatureinstellungen" on a German system), activate a UK/British keyboard layout and then use "Key caps" to actually find out what characters are behind that.
