Interestingly enough, one of the two Research Centers for Alias/Wavefront is
in the rather small city where I live, Santa Barbara, CA. Their building
occupies the site where an upscale grocery/kitchen supplies store used to
be. I passed by yesterday - they've got a very exotic "shapes" display in
their dark-glazed street fronting, and no entrance that doesn't say
"Employees Only". I think I'll find a way to pay a visit one of these
days...
