Big Slowdown - CarbonLib 1.5 to blame?

  • Subject: Big Slowdown - CarbonLib 1.5 to blame?

I've just started getting really nasty slowdowns when typing in Script
Editor, or into AS applet text entry boxes. Restarting speeds things up for
a bit, but everything soon gets bogged down again.

The slowdowns started after I installed a bunch of Adobe upgrades, during
which the only significant change in my System folder was that CarbonLib got
upgraded from 1.4 to 1.5. I'm sure I read somewhere that there were problems
with CarbonLib 1.5, but I don't remember the details. Could this be the
cause of the problem.

In fact, everything seems to have gone a bit sluggish. Help! What's
happening? Is Apple trying to make me scuttle away to OS X?

Config: AS 1.8.2b3 & OS 9.2.2

Thanks for any advice.

Camilla.
